Fellow Travelors

The other day I had the pleasure of taking the train into Edinburgh (our fair haunted city to the east of us) to spend some time with my good friend Chris Lawson. After some hot chocolate (with whipped cream on top) and coffee at Starbucks, we scarfed down a 'Big New Yorker' at Pizza Hut. Why Pizza hut when you're in a posh European city? The food is cheap, good, and plenty to satisfy some manly appetites.

Well between the Starbucks and Pizza we spent about four hours talking about apologetics, trends in the church and being missionaries in a foriegn land. We could have talked for several hours more but figured we should go home to our families at some point. It's amazing how God brings together like minded believers to encourage eachother in the faith.

Chris is a southern California guy who came over to Scotland about three years ago and has started up a discernment ministry that reaches out to believers who had gotten blown off track by unbiblical winds of doctrine (all too prevelent today) in the church, and to unbelievers decieved by the cults and false religions. He also leads a home group that gathers once a month.

Well to say the least he has been a real blessing to me as we have much in common. It's also good to just have someone to talk to that sees the same things you do so you don't go completely crazy. I am really excited about this ministry because it is something that is very much needed here in Scotland and especially Edinburgh (the witchcraft capital of Western Europe). I am also very excited to be able to help Chris out in areas of research (which he has asked me to do). Anyway, the main reason for posting this is to make you aware of Chris and this ministry so you can pray for him and his family. I can't emphasize enough how important this is as they are really out there on the bloody front lines of combat for the truth. Pray! Pray! Pray!

Chris is also working on the finishing touches of a full blown apologetics/discernment web-stite. I'll keep you posted on that. Should be finished real soon and as soon as I can figure out how to put links on my blog, I will have his and some others as well. I need prayer for patience with that though. Well I guess that's all for now.
